This is designed to demonstrate environment building and player-object interaction. It is based on the idea of metal detecting, where you find items by searching the ground. Creating a world like this isn't hard by any stretch, I used an idea that a person would search in a field around boulders and bushes and such. One of the things you learn when doing something like this is how to make the environment look in sync and not artificial, something I believe I was able to accomplish. Adding props was important to make the player feel like they weren't in a scripted area and more spontaneous. One of the biggest things I had to find out was how much time to give the player. I ultimately gave 60 seconds as that gives enough time to search around, but doesn't give too much time for the player to get bored. I was able to elaborate on what the professor said and use it to make the world better.
